“Hell’s Kitchen” fans know chef Barbie Marshall as a finalist from season 10 of the show, which aired in 2012. According to a news release, Marshall started cooking at 14 as a way to overcome the grief of her father’s death. After her husband was killed in 2007, Marshall took her children to Hospice & Community Care’s Pathways Center for Grief & Loss.
Marshall, a Philadelphia native who now lives in Strasburg, will give back to the center and share her story Oct. 29 during a Wine, Dine & Unwind event Heritage Hills Golf Resort, 2700 Mount Rose Ave., York Township. Attendees can enter bids in a silent auction for the chance to win a private dinner for eight prepared by Marshall.
